These prescription medications treat and manage a myriad of infections and ailments, and all come in an insulated EHO travel bag. Here's what's included:
Eye or Ear infections:
- Prednisone Ophthalmic 1-2 drops in affected eye 2-4 times daily eye inflammation, irritation, scratch
- Tobramycin 0.3% Ophthalmic 1 drop into affected eye/ear 2-3 times daily for 7 days eye inflammation, irritation, scratch
Skin Infection/Tissue Injury:
- Cephalexin 500mg caps 1 cap PO three times daily for 7 days skin infection
- Bactroban 2% ointment/cream Apply to infected area three times daily skin inflammation, scrapes
- Prednisone 5mg tabs 1 tablet each morning x 3-5 days tissue pain, injury, inflammation
- Other Skin Conditions (rash, poison ivy, infection, inflammation)
- Betamethasone Dip 0.05% cream Apply to affected area twice daily rash, poison ivy, bites
- Benadryl 25mg tabs 2 tabs every 4-6 hours for allergic reaction swelling
Skin fungal/Yeast Infection:
- Fluconazole 150mg Take 1 as soon as possible. Repeat if needed yeast infection
- Clotrimazole 2% cream Apply to infected area twice daily for 10 days jock itch, rash, athletes’ foot
- Nystatin 500,000 units (tabs) 1 tab 3X daily for 10 days ringworm
Upper Respiratory Infections and Others:
- Azithromycin 250mg tabs (antibiotic) 2 tabs Day 1 and then take 1 Day 2-5 cough, sinus or respiratory infection
- Ivermectin 12mg caps 2 or 3 caps once daily for 5 days (treat) common virus
- Hydroxychloroquine 200mg 1 by mouth twice daily OR viral infection – 2 tablets once weekly and as directed Malaria prevention
- Ventolin HFA inhaler Albuterol (apprx 1 – year expiration) Inhale 2 sprays every 4 hours as needed trouble breathing, rescue inhaler
- Amoxicillin 500mg (antibiotic) 1 by mouth three times daily for 10 days strep throat, bacterial infection
- Valacyclovir 500mg oral (antiviral) 1 by mouth twice daily for 7 days cold sores, STD’s
- Tamiflu 75mg oral (antiviral) 1 2x daily for 5 days (treat) anti-viral – 1 1x daily for 10 days (prevent) anti-viral
Traveler Diarrhea | Food Poison
- Loperamide 2mg tabs 2 tabs immediately and then as needed diarrhea without fever
- Ciprofloxacin 500mg tabs 1 tab twice daily for 7 days diarrhea with fever or bladder infection, other bacterial infection
Electrolyte Packets 1 twice daily with 500mL water & food dehydration
- Ondansetron 1 as needed for nausea nausea, vomiting
Ivermectin
Prophylaxis – Viruses become weakened and are unable to spread as effectively giving rise to decreased transmission rates.
Symptomatic – Makes it more difficult for viruses to replicate and spread; decreased length of infection and symptom intensity.
Immune Support
Vitamin C, Vitamin D3, & Zinc Sulfate – Aide to enhance immune system by increasing response time and intensity in the defense against infections.
Quercetin and Resveratrol – Decreased inflammation of overall body leading to a more suitable environment for immune system function and response.
Z-Pak (Azithromycin 250 mg)
Stops protein production of bacterial cells leading to slower growth; Targets many common bacteria known to infect the lungs.
Hydroxychloroquine 200 mg
Prophylaxis – Interfere with early stages of viral development and may help to lower infection severity.
Symptomatic & “Zinc Accelerator” – Combination with Zinc may help to decrease progression of viral infections while also easing the severity of symptoms patients may experience.
Tamiflu (Oseltamivir®)
Prophylaxis – Plays a role in preventing the virus from spreading to others and may benefit care givers of those with current viral infections.
Symptomatic – Reduces viral spread which lowers the amount of virus present in the body and shortens the duration of infection.
Ciprofloxacin
Interferes with viral DNA production and targets bacteria known to effect the lungs, uniquely effective in Pneumonia. Use in bacterial infections that may be resistant to treatment with Azythromicin.
Iodine
May be effective in treatment of “Super Bug” infections where traditional “gold-standard” antibiotics failed. Well-tolerated in lung tissues giving rise to potential applications for lung infection treatment.
